Hey peoples! March will be wrapping up with a New Moon this year. So, this will be a good time for planting seeds, focusing on optimism, hope and faith. I like to utilize the moon's influence to plot on personal success and development throughout the year. But it doesn't hurt to have a plan, in January I finally made a vision board!

A recap of my February. It was time for garden upkeep and starting the seeds in the greenhouse. We planned for springtime greens in January, so I knew what I wanted and where. So, I prepared for hearty greens, roots and edible flowers. My raised bed is only 4’x6’ but I’m jampacking it with bok choy, salad blends, onion, and collards. My newly winter-hearty chamomile got a major head start…since like November. And at the end of February, we kept the few and the strong in the greenhouse, and shall place them in the ground later. I have high expectations for this spring.

My lush Chamomile babies.
I will be continuing my kundalini amidst my ever changing work schedule to keep me sane. I plan to enjoy the sun every chance I get and spend more quality time with those I hold dear. And I even started a new skincare routine, go me. Following the moon phases keeps me motivated and challenges me to try harder and become comfortable with the uncomfortable.

Here’s how I break down the phases of the moon:
Waxing Crescent {YIN}
Begin planning & preparing, focus on how you will accomplish your intentions.
*A short mantra: I relax into my intention. I breathe. (keep calm, breathe ;)
1st Quarter/Waxing Half Moon {YANG}
Fall into your desire to prepare & organize. You may notice your energy levels fluctuate between the waxing crescent & waxing gibbous phases.
*Mantra: I take refined action to support my intention.
Waxing Gibbous {YIN}
Refine & move forward. Refine your plan & shift directions as needed. Put in place plans & structures needed to fulfill new moon goals & intentions. Prepare for Full Moon ritual, routine, ceremony (whatever works for you!)
*Mantra: I trust that the perfect intention is coming into form at the perfect time by the universe.
Full Moon {YANG}
Fuel your creative, inspired, nurturing, productive energies. This is the peak energy of the cycle, utilize it!
Work & play hard by completing tasks towards your intentions. (Remember to take time to celebrate how far you’ve come towards your goals!) Realize what no longer works for you. Have your ritual, reflect on your journey.
*Mantra: I move forward with my intention. OR. I accept that my intention was not for the best at this time. I will release it, and plan a course of action.
Balsamic/Waning Gibbous {YIN}
A time to rest after all your hard work & reflect on how you’ve grown, even if you don’t perform some routine or ceremony. It is still good practice to conduct a self review.
*Mantra: I am grateful that my intention is coming into form. I receive its perfection with gratitude.
Last Quarter/Waning Half {YANG}
Fuel your desire to clear and cleanse. You may feel receding energy levels as you transition from full moon peak to the new moon low. This is a good time to wrap up & complete the tasks that have been causing some stress.
*Mantra: Now that I am receiving my intention, I will give back from a place of abundance.
Waning Crescent {YIN}
A time to harvest your benefits! Continue to relish in the results of your hard work, spend time in gratitude. Prepare for your New Moon routine.
*Mantra: I reflect with thanks. I rest. I will recover and restore.
New Moon {YANG}
You may be feeling thoughtful & introverted. This is the low energy of the cycle.
Take time to rest, dream, nurture your creative side, make a vision board, set some new intentions and new goals. It may benefit you to gather with other like-minded women, friends, perhaps a group. How will you grow? What do you plan to accomplish? Have your ritual.
*Mantra: I set my intention. I feel my intention in my body.

My ultimate personal goal is to prevent stagnation. Following these phases as a guide enables me to keep track of where I am going, where I have been and how to get there, maybe. Hopefully, this can help you too!
And I urge anyone, don’t take my word for it, don’t stop seeking out more information. Do your research!
